Chelsea Technologies Group (www.chelsea.co.uk) has over 50 years experience in the design & manufacture of a range of sensors for the military & civil oceanographic, environmental, acoustics, life science, oil & process control markets. The Marine Systems Group specializes in a range of multi-parameter sensors for monitoring the physical, optical & biological oceanographic and fresh water environments. Parameters include CTD, turbidity, transmission, fluorescence & bioluminescence. Sensors are available for in-situ chlorophyll & algae class studies, dye tracing, oil spill monitoring, effluent detection as well as primary productivity studies and bloom detection. Systems are also available for the monitoring of ship exhaust gas cleaning systems and ballast water discharge to prevent contamination of seas. Within the Defence Group, Chelsea offers a range of acoustic and oceanographic sensors designed to meet a diverse range of military requirements including Anti Submarine Warfare and Rapid Environmental Assessment as well as complete acoustic sonar systems for test, evaluation and training applications. Chelsea is a major supplier of equipment and services to the Homeland Defence market, developing novel methods of detecting threats to homeland water supplies and providing sensor systems for continuous monitoring.
