Carlisle School

Now well over 40 years old, Carlisle School was founded by area business leaders, educators, and professional people in Martinsville, Virginia, who were interested in providing a community-based school which combined superior academics with high personal standards. Carlisle embraced the philosophy of offering a rigorous college-preparatory program and encouraging intellectual discipline and creativity; while also fostering the development of character and individual responsibility.We are proud to be an IB World School. The school originally opened its doors for 81 students in grades 1-7. Today, Carlisle continues to provide a first class education to over 485 students in pre-school through grade 12. We are a regional and boarding school serving Danville, Virginia, and Eden and Reidsville, North Carolina in the US as well as Nigeria, Korea, Japan, Australia, China, Vietnam, and Taiwan worldwide.
