CGA was founded in 1989 as a subsidiary of Legg Mason, Inc., and is currently a privately-held firm that includes a team consistently recognized as one of the leading real estate net lease financing sources in the country. CGA has closed over $34 billion in debt and equity financings over the past 34 years, including two of the three largest single tenant/single property sale-leaseback transactions ever undertaken in the United States. CGA’s principals led the real estate net lease financing efforts at Legg Mason and RBS Securities (fka RBS Greenwich Capital, a part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc), and have been pioneers in innovative net lease transaction structures for office, retail, industrial, governmental, healthcare, manufacturing, and special purpose properties involving more than 100 separate corporate and governmental tenants in all 50 states. In addition to investing for its own account, CGA provides investment banking, debt financing, and equity investment services for institutional and high-net-worth real estate equity investors and developers nationwide.
