CEFALY Technology

Cefaly Technology, formerly known as STX-Med, was founded in 2004 by two experts in bio-engineering, Pierre Rigaux and Pierre-Yves Muller. CEFALY Technology's mission is to solve the global problem of migraine and other headaches thanks to therapeutic progresses brought by its innovations. Migraine affects 15% of the general population and is responsible of the highest socio-economic cost within brain disorders. CEFALY Technology follows numerous research and development pathways in order to solve this problem. Ultimately, if someone suffers from migraine or another type of primary headache, CEFALY Technology will offer the treatment of choice and the solution. CEFALY Technology is a medical company with a field of activities that covers various therapeutic means: biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical devices. A highly skilled team of engineers and medical doctors collaborates with several universities on international research projects. For instance : the large European research program EUROHEADPAIN in which eleven research centers and universities in Europe collaborate with CEFALY Technology (STX-Med) as only company partner for clinical investigations on chronic migraine. The therapeutic progresses brought by CEFALY Technology's innovations will also be able to benefit to other parts of neurology (insomnia, depression, epilepsy, tinnitus, Alzheimer, ...)
