Big Sister Association Of Greater Boston

Big Sister Association of Greater Boston ignites girls' passion and power to succeed through positive mentoring relationships with women and enrichment programs that support girls' healthy development. We are one of 350, affiliated Big Brothers Big Sisters of America organizations across the country; yet, the only one focused exclusively on girls. Thanks to our 60+ years of experience in serving the girls of Greater Boston, coupled with our innovative and dynamic programming, our outcomes for girls are exceptional. In addition to serving an ever-increasing number of girls over the years, Big Sister has continued to develop new, innovative programs. We launched our first Group Mentoring program in 1986, and developed School-Based Mentoring in 2001. In 2003, we added Big for a Day, which includes activities to engage girls who are waiting to be matched with a mentor. And, in 2009, we began the pilot for our High School Mentoring Academy between Trotter Elementary School and Boston Latin Academy. We believe in the power of transformative relationships for the girls we serve and the staff who work here.
