Benchmark Psychology is a frontrunner in the use of continuous monitoring of client outcomes and feedback in order to improve services.
What this means for the client is that their psychologist will seek feedback on therapy each session to ensure the service provided is exactly what the client is looking for. Secondly, each session, clients are invited to complete a monitoring instrument to check on their progress, if therapy is not achieving results, different alternatives can be discussed.
For psychologists working at Benchmark, this process gives them all the data they need to engage in ongoing practice improvement. Every month each psychologist can look at which clients they are being most successful with, and who they are not achieving that high standard with. This then allows them to engage in ongoing professional development targeting at improving their weakest areas.
There are currently over 500 specific treatment types that exist for the treatment of various problems. Matching which treatment with which client has long been the holy grail of evidence based practice. At Benchmark, we believe that the best way to ensure that the type of therapy fits best with the client is to ask. Clients and therapists at Benchmark truly do work together to develop a treatment plan, and both of them are accountable for progress along the way.
