Bedford College

Established in 1944, Bedford College is a not-for-profit Registered Training Organisation with a reputation for high-quality training in a small, caring environment. Whilst the College has a Christian ethos, enrolled students come from a wide variety of races, religions, cultures and beliefs. An open access and equity policy governs the enrolment practices and the College is committed to inclusiveness and mutual respect for all. Bedford's Board of Directors are drawn from a range of industries and professional backgrounds and a number of members have strong links with the education sector. Having been established during the 2nd World War, the main purpose of the College was to support the country’s dwindling workforce by training young ladies to fill gaps in the business sector caused as a result of the menfolk going away to war. However, over the last 70+ years Bedford College has evolved; from a small secretarial college for girls to an up-market, modern training facility for both males and females. Located in Glebe in the Sydney CBD, the College opened a second campus in 2014 at Norwest in the Sydney Hills area - one of the fastest growing business and residential areas in NSW. However in all the years of operations our main focus has never wavered. Our reputation for excellence in training and our strong student-centred approach to learning has remained unchanged. At Bedford College our students have always been the number one priority.
