Architects Registration Board

Set up by Parliament in 1997, but independent of Government, we are the body that regulates the architects’ profession in the UK. We do this by setting and maintaining standards for education and practice, and only those people on our Register are allowed by law to call themselves an architect. When consumers use an architect from our Register, they can be confident that they are using a genuine professional who has both met the standards that we set, and who is guided by a professional code of conduct. ARB’s Register of Architects is the definitive reference source for members of the public who might be looking for an architect or who might want to check whether someone is registered as an architect.
