Aidha

Aidha is a non-profit organisation registered in Singapore. Our mission is to provide financial literacy and self-development skills to foreign domestic workers and lower income women so that they can create sustainable futures for themselves. Our classes are conducted on Sundays at the UWC campus in Dover. Please visit our website to learn more about Aidha at www.aidha.org. At Aidha, domestic workers can find healthy friendships, a safe and a positive environment as well an opportunity to learn! Students at aidha are involved in lively discussions, group exercises and get many opportunities to practice what they learn in class. We never forget to make the learning fun! Over 70% of our students start businesses of their own or invest in productive assets, such as livestock and land in their home countries. And 80% are able to start saving every month or every other month, a significant achievement that helps them to break out of the cycle of poverty for the first time.
