HTML, CSS

Primarily use Visual Studio for development environment, to construct all projects, but have experience of Ultra-Edit and Dreamweaver.
Adobe Creative Suite
Fluent in Photoshop used for creation of page elements, and site design. Use Indesign to create CMS guides and additional printed material. Strong command of Illustrator and Fireworks, used when vector based artwork required.
Email Marketing
Use Campaign Monitor combined with Zurb Ink to manage email campaigns, design and create email templates. Then test using Email on Acid to ensure correct delivery across all the leading email deliver services.

Conversant in the use of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook; critical testing performed on Outlook 2003, 2007 and 2010 for email campaigns.
Front End Developer @ Front end developer, working in a team which develops and manages the Business Portal, to allow companies to order their digital connectivity requirements. Duties:
Web Development: Build initial web concepts into working sites, primary focus is on front-end technologies including but not limited to HTML+(5), CSS+(3), Javascript and Jquery. Current IDE is Dreamweaver but also use Visual Studio on a regular basis.
Have a good understanding of back-end technologies, having experience of working in .net, php and Coldfusion environments. This extends to initiating sites in IIS, database queries, and managing domain certificates.
At each stage of the build process, attention is given to SEO, and site performance.
Email Marketing: Using my existing knowledge from my previous position I have set up a new email marketing tool for the company, ‘Campaign Monitor’. Which is already seeing a marked improvement in delivery performance and statistical reporting. I also design the email templates and run the extensive testing required to ensure emails are successful across the wide range of email software and devices. With increasing attention to the mobile market.
Artwork and Design: I am fully conservant in Photoshop, Illustrator and Fireworks. I take the design teams work, and optimise this for web, and handle the output of artwork ready for use in web projects. Aside from artwork, I also a competent designer and will when required step into a direct design role. I also produce training guides using Indesign, for clients on the use of content management systems.
Consultancy and training: Provide guidance on best practice and new web technologies, including SEO and email marketing, to staff and clients. To make individuals aware of the potential and at times the limitations of web development. Also provide estimation on work required, and its commercial merits. From August 2012 to December 2014 (2 years 5 months) Web Developer @ Avelo comprises of three recently merged key solutions providers 1st-The Exchange, N4 Solutions and Screen Business, to become the leader of solutions to connect the entire financial industry, end-to-end. Clients range from sole trader IFAs and intermediaries to the largest global financial players
Tasks:
Content Management: initial input of content supplied by client, offering advice on content optimisation, producing training guides and training clients in use of CMS. Once sites are live implement regular content updates.
Email Marketing: Designing and exhaustive testing of email templates, management of mailing lists and broadcasting of email campaigns. Providing clients with advice on email content, and supplying performance report.
SEO: Tailoring content for optimisation and adhering to HTML best practices. Provide monthly reports on site performance, with recommendation and implementation to improve site visitor numbers and conversions via search engines and social media.
Design: Design of web sites and web pages, collaborate with lead designer on the implementation of design to create a positive user experience. Regular design of page elements once site is live e.g. new images, call to actions, page layouts, icons etc.
Web Development: Once initial design is approved, build design into working site using HTML, CSS and Jquery. Working with backend development team to integrate functional elements with front end design. Manage project scope and delivery schedule, managing client in respect to supplied content, guidance, and costing where client requirements extend beyond initial project specification.
Web Support: Front line web support, assisting clients with enquiries about their sites, this includes technical errors, data base queries using SQL, web stats, training, updates to site. Either resolving or briefing technical team and ensuring enquiry is dealt with promptly. From August 2006 to October 2012 (6 years 3 months)
