From February 2012 to August 2012 (7 months) Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist @ PulsePoint - Prototyped supervised and unsupervised machine learning models for fraud detection, audience attributes prediction, audience targeting, CTR prediction- Developed an impression estimation API, to compute the cardinality in any given subset less than 1s. Techniques include HyperLogLog / MinHash, and sparse Bitmap on Redis. (Node.js, Redis, Lua)- Main contributor in data engineering team’s ETL codebase using Luigi module, implemented / deployed over 50 data flows in production. (Python, Luigi)- Benchmarked the CTR prediction model using Vowpal-Wabbit library, combined with a Hive UDF to train and update the model in a distributed fashion. (Java)- Built the backend APIs for content marketing team (native contents on social media platform) to provide a real-time optimization on budget allocation and dynamic CPC. (Python Flask)- Front-end UIUX design in JS with frameworks like React- Built the caching layer using Redis or Memcached for offline model population.
