I started off with a Commodore 64 and ~60 disks with hand written instructions in German sometime in the early nineties. Moved on to an IBM 486 PC with Windows 3.11 (German) in ~95. PIII with a modem in 2001. I've been very much interested in IT from an early age, built on my skills from the Internet (networking and security consciousness from text articles from hacking forums/ezines, a lot of ethics right there). My first Linux distro was Mandrake when I was 13, soon moved on to RedHat 9, Slackware was on my laptop as soon as I got it in 2003. I participated in local community efforts to localize Linux, most notable project was OpenOffice localization. Before there were wireless routers, I participated in a project called Gajtanless where we did a wireless 802.11b MAN in Skopje, antenna design and performance testing was my forte. I successfully compiled Linux from Scratch and soon after started working on Bash and how to optimize the compiling process, tried Gentoo. I learned programming, competed, C++ at the height of my game at uni, but was more interested into Linux, networking, virtualization than doing software engineering (Java was when I called it quits). Did a bunch of stuff in between, most notable Cre8ive8 where I was into digital video and photography, played guitar (was in a few bands). Went on to design clouds across the world. I was complimented on my teaching skills on cloud computing.

Management board @ From June 2005 to Present (10 years 7 months) OpenStack Infrastructure manager @ Joined as a sysadmin, with some background in VMware and Linux and Windows administration and engineering skills. The primary IaaS solution as a hosting and services provider we used was the CA Applogic grid operating system, XEN based, in which I became proficient in less than 6 months. In 2012 I was working on systems integration for 2 Fortune 500 European companies, for the first, a leading telecommunications industry I was working on-site as a systems architect for the IaaS solution. I was tasked with Applogic grids deployment, designing a catalog of virtual appliances utilizing Microsoft technologies and load balancing and firewall solutions on Linux, design and integration of a scalable system solution with a multi-tier application design, that works on a devOps system with several environments to ensure pushing out fully tested solutions to production, for a business critical operation. For the second, a leading pharmaceutical company, I was brought in as a consultant for their virtual appliances catalog development. In July 2012 I held a full week training in Singapore as part of CA Education for the CA certified Applogic Architect and Operator training courses for 15 people from SEA. I went on to do 2 more trainings, one virtual for SEA and another on-site for a MSP tasked to design a solution based off CA Applogic for a leading telco in SEA. For the past two years I’ve been tasked with v2v and p2v migrations, setting up and managing our OpenStack infrastructure, have worked on setting up hybrid cloud infrastructure through SDN, managing Magento sites and performance tweaking the LAMP/LNMP stack, training our team on OpenStack and looking into configuration management solutions integrated with OpenStack/HEAT to provide hassle-free SaaS packaged services to customers, Ceph data-storage cluster (design, deployment, integration, maintenance and monitoring), etc. Well versed in Bash and Linux parsing tools, looking into doing more Python.
