With over 15 years of Safety experience I bring strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills covering Correctional Institutions, Camps, Film and Television and Junior Mining Camps along with education and experience in the areas of Organizational Behaviour Personnel management. As recent graduate from the British Columbia Institute of technology where I studied the Industry Safety Officers program I bring a calm, patient and assertive approach to the health and risk management field employing excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills. I began my safety career in a maximum security correctional setting encompassing the safety of inmates and officers to daily hazard assessments in numerous settings and situations including confined spaces, external environments (Hospital’s, camps and external escorts) and the always changing and hazardous environments of the institution. Moving from their I broadened my skills with the in the area of safety equipment by building the British Columbia territory for one of Canada’s largest and leading Industrial, Fire, Police and EMS companies before moving onto manage an 11 million dollar portfolio in the same area for the Government of British Columbia giving me the skills to not only recognize the hazards of a workplace but also the equipment necessary to prevent or reduce the hazards. Finally broadening and honing my skills in the Junior Mining area by expanding my knowledge into remote areas and mining camps of British Columbia.
