Team manager, SW developer (former UX Designer) @ I was involved in the Emporia Smart, the first smartphone of Emporia, since its birth. In one of the project's first workshops, while still in the University of Cambridge, I proposed the solution now know as Emporia's Smart Cover. Later on, I helped design and develop the first interactive prototype, fully written in HTML5. Together with the University I performed user testing to try and find usability issues in the initial design. After my master thesis was completed I was hired by Emporia as a Usability Consultant with the goal to finish the design and specify the full user experience for the engineering team. Once the development was initiated, it was clear that the software development team was struggling due to lack of experience, so I offered my services and added myself one extra role in the company as an Android Software Developer. I went on to develop the launcher, keyboard (both the smart cover and touch keyboard) and did extensive refactoring, debugging, implementation and performance optimisation in almost every single application of the smartphone. Towards the end of the development I was promoted to team manager in China, where I had to guarantee software quality, strong communication channels with our Austrian headquarters and keep the team's motivation high. From August 2013 to Present (2 years 3 months) Shenzhen, ChinaResearch Assistant (Working on Master Thesis) @ As part of the Engineering Design Center, I wrote my master thesis on CUE: the Cambridge Usability Evaluator.
