By enhancing it’s proven execution management platform with innovative products and services, TradingScreen seeks to break through the traditional boundaries that have come to make the capital markets complex to navigate for the buy-side.
My work at TradingScreen in Analytics ranges from systems to generate benchmarks for TCA from our historical tick database, through composite order books, to real-time FX analytics combining forwards, futures and rates.
As a financially literate developer, I often help out where business managers, project managers and support staff are in need of more detailed market knowledge, refining specifications and working with clients to fully understand their requirements.
Starting in the derivatives pricing development team I developed exchange connections including implementing multicast feed handlers for ICE Impact and NYSE UTP as well as maintaining and updating existing pricing connections to exchanges and vendors, and trading connections to brokers.
After developing a prototype analytical pricing system, I was asked to move to the newly formed analytics department as technical lead.
I won a company wide development competition in 2011, and was awarded the CEO award for achievement in 2012. From March 2010 to September 2013 (3 years 7 months) Founder @ Founder of a reseller of business and accounting systems (targeted at the Plant Hire and manufacturing industries) developed by Ylem Ltd.
Developed new front-end java application for customers, providing functionality. Developed extensions to VT220 terminal codes to allow drawing of custom AWT/Swing components in the client, presenting a point-and-click interface to users. Sold licenses directly to customers, and eventually sold product. From 2003 to March 2010 (7 years) Senior IT officer @ Jointly managed a team of three developers, producing business process automation software for this private equity firm.
Developed and coded internal systems to support business functions including a loan pool analyzer and Java and C# based system for generating word documents from information stored in SQL Server by manipulating Word 2007 xml and using the Word 2007 API. From October 2008 to January 2010 (1 year 4 months) London, United KingdomDirector @ One of three founder directors of company formed to provide a specialised retail equity trading platform. Coded (C, C++) middleware using FIX links to back end technology.
Co-Developed and managed white label trading analysis platform, which had approximately 100,000 daily page views.
