I have more than 35 years experience in civil engineering, with more than 30 of these with consultants on major infrastructure projects; 5 years spent in Southern Africa, 12 years in Australia, 19 years in the UK and currently in Manila in the Philippines. I have fulfilled the role of Project Director / Manager on major multi disciplinary highway, rail and infrastructure projects, covering design, contract management and construction verification. My current role is heading up the Australian Transportation Group in the Global Excellence Centre in Manila, overseeing its growth to provide design services to both the Australian and Middle East business units.
As well as Technical and PM roles, I have also managed Business Units for major consultants, covering business development, bidding, P&L Management, Client Management and ensuring the delivery of quality products.
I have worked on a range of delivery mechanisms, including Alliancing (Early Contractor Involvement), PPP, D&C as well as design only and construct only commissions. I have also managed and lead Verification Teams on several major projects.
