I fully developed the clincial education program and then moved to the product manager for PICCs. I quickly grew this business to the point that it is now the number one revenue generator for CR Bard. As director of marketing, I managed this large product line as well as the imaging product line, and the clinical education program.
I was fully responsible for developing the clinical education program at Bard, which included the hiring of 32 vascular access clinical specialists, and managing 150 part time vascular access nurses.
My clinical programs at Bard were extremely successful domestically, to the point that I was asked to help develop similiar programs internationally.
I have become known as a specialist in vascular access, and have lectured extensively domestically as well as internationally.
I am actively involved in the World Congress on Vascular Access as a member of the global planning committee and speaker. I also speak during the PICC days at the annual GaCeLT meeting in Italy each year.
I have served as the Treasurer of the Association for Vascular Access for four years. I am currently serving as the president-elect of this organization and will move into the president position in October of 2012. I also serve on the Wise Foundation for Vascular Access Education and Research as the Treasurer, entering a second term in this position.
Specialties:I have been able to leverage my nursing and business degrees to connect with clinicians. I am an expert in vascular access devices and as such, I am frequently called upon to help clinicians understand the clinical and financial implications of vascular access choices. I obtained board certification in vascular access in 2010 (VA-BC).
