I love working on complex problems, tweaking algorithms for slightly superior runtime, and introducing new people to the projects that I work on. I'm not just a computer person, I'm a people person, and I love sharing my passion for computer science people in all walks of life, whether it's a customer at my coffee shop or a student in my workshop.
Workshop Superleader @ Superleader (Head TA) for CSC 171 and CSC 172.
Organized workshops and workshop leaders, created homework and workshop problems, and led review sessions for midterms. From August 2015 to Present (3 months) Rochester, New York AreaProgrammer/Analyst Intern @ Led an independent project in which I overhauled several legacy java web services.
The bulk of this project consisted of the conversion of a single legacy service from CVS to Mercurial, which also necessitated a conversion from an ANT to a Maven build system, as the service's CVS repository held a number of dependencies numbering in the hundreds of megabytes.
Once this pilot conversion proved successful, I began to train other, full-time employees on the intricacies of the conversion process with the goal of converting all legacy web services by the end of 2015.
As a result, my summer internship was extended until December 2015.
