We help Startups build websites to make themselves visible on the internet. We also consult on hardware needs, server needs, and pretty much anything to do with technology. From August 2014 to Present (1 year 3 months) Kalamzoo, MiMentoring For Success Lead Developer @ WMU's Mentoring For Success(MFS) office has had an old and not effective website which is used to track students through the MFS program. Office Diversity & Inclusion is the parent office to MFS, and provides IT services. As such, we've decided to rebuild the website from scratch.
I'm the only person in our 3-man IT department who knows how to do something like this, so it came down to me.
I designed from scratch a database schema, mocked up the new website, and presented to MFS. From there, I took input and created the website and database.
I used MySQL, ASP.NET and C#, HTML, CSS, js, and Bootstrap to complete the project. From December 2014 to May 2015 (6 months) Kalamazoo, Michigan AreaMCC Supervisor & IT Helpdesk Assistant @ I am responsible for managing the staff who work during MCC events, as well as scheduling and planning events for the MCC. From December 2013 to May 2015 (1 year 6 months) Kalamazoo, Michigan AreaSoftware Contractor/Software Development Engineer Intern @ My primary project is to make updates to the Tooltip framework, implementation, and databases used on Mercent.com.
My second project was to create a new utility for Mercent employees to use to document Amazon's Taxonomy efficiently.
My last project was to create Mockups using Balsamiq. The nature of these Mockups is confidential so I can only say I did them. The Product Managers like them very much, and I worked on creating prototypes that other Developers can use to finish the project once my Internship was over.
