I began my career working as an Education Consultant for an upstart education agency based in Newcastle. There I was responsible for recruiting international students to UK institutions including language schools, colleges and Universities. As well as managing the application processes involved and sourcing new students, I regularly presented to potential new students, manned exhibition stands at various fairs and participated in industry conferences and workshops.
Following this stint in international education, I turned my attention to working as an Account Manager for a leading UK affiliate network, buy.at. I managed more than 20 blue chip accounts and contributed to growing online sales via the affiliate channel for a major high street clothes retailer by over 200% over a 2 month period prior to Christmas.
After a career break spent travelling around South America, I joined Haven Holidays in September 2010 as their Affiliate and Display Marketing Executive. I was responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating campaigns for both the Affiliate and Display channels at Haven and helping to grow each of these channels in terms of revenue generated. This involved working alongside our dedicated media agency and affiliate network to implement the most effective and cost-efficient strategy for maximum ROI based on the budgets available.
I then spent one year helping to grow the affiliate marketing channel at start-up business card company, moo.com. The key focus of the role was to drive new customer acquisition, with a particular focus on cashback, loyalty, social gaming and content affiliate sites.

Leading on embedding a new approach to Digital Fundraising across the organisation, as the result of a six month audit carried out in conjunction with an external consultancy. Various actions were identified as foundational where they were raised as critical by numerous stakeholders such as reviewing the visibility and promotion of fundraising asks across our owned assets, identifying a suitable strategy for communicating with supporters via email across the organisation, and identifying opportunities for digital storytelling. Others were more tactical and focussed on specific fundraising team requirements (e.g. test new acquisition channels, improve supporter journey online, create suitable content for use online).
