Karel is a designer at Vidyard – one of Canada’s leading tech startups that provides businesses with the tools, insights, and analytics to drive growth through video. He works on the design and development of www.vidyard.com as part of the marketing team. Previously, Karel worked as a Product Manager at both BlackBerry in Waterloo, ON and Zazzle in Redwood City, CA. Not convinced by the allure of Silicon Valley, he moved back to Waterloo and recognized the latent potential of the region. Karel now works with the Kitchener-Waterloo community to grow and showcase the region as Canada’s center for innovation and technology through community-building initiatives. This year, he co-founded Product Hunt KW, a network that discovers, discusses, and celebrates local products and makers in the Waterloo Region.
