Web Developer @ From April 2013 to Present (2 years 9 months) Web Developer @ • Launched the Pulse Web App with two other web developers. Implemented designs and interactions to gather early user feedback. Primarily responsible for building out view logic, templates and stylesheets.
• Prototyped internal ad creation tools to aid monetization efforts.
• Continuously extended and improved javascript content parser for an optimal mobile reading experience.
• Developed and launched new company website.
• Developed and launched Google Reader feed import utility for the web.
• Launched story landing pages with ability to 'Highlight' and caption on publicly shared articles.
• Internal Hacks: Sidebar to display contextual information about an article (Wikipedia API). 'Highlight' any web page with click of a button (Chrome Extension). From March 2012 to April 2013 (1 year 2 months) Frontend Developer @ • Developed responsively designed HTML5 web apps for mobile and tablet. Leveraged and extended the Jo javascript framework to build out additional functionality.
• Prototyped the Gizmo app creation platform using the SproutCore javascript framework to create a rich, engaging, desktop like experience. From April 2011 to March 2012 (1 year) San Francisco Bay AreaIntern @ • Provided additional functionality to the ShareThis Publisher dashboard.
• Developed, wrote and designed public Help & API documentation with WordPress integration.
• Attended daily scrum meetings and reported directly to Chief Architect and CTO for continuous feedback.
• Gained valuable insight into how a web startup operates. From June 2010 to December 2010 (7 months) Web Developer, Undergraduate Assistant @ • Created Online Timesheet Management web application to track student hours.
