The main technology changes included an upgrade to Siebel 8.1, new telephony solution, call centre management software and a new management information suite through Business Objects. Jon successfully delivered the final two test phases within pre-defined timelines. Working closely with the four global service centres based in the United Kingdom, Lithuania, India and South Africa he devised and delivered a test approach capable of evidencing to stakeholders and end users the readiness of the solution to enter cutover and go live. Noteworthy accomplishments were: - Stakeholder management within the core project team and senior personnel within HR areas including Resourcing, Employee Data Management, Payroll, Learning Services and Organisation Management. - Co-ordination of over one hundred global users through test preparation and execution. - Constructing execution schedules accommodating varied business priorities, phased technology drops throughout the test phases and test environment constraints. - Interfacing into the on-shore and off-shore development teams involved in the end-to-end solution including in-house development project management, the telephony team, Oracle and Accenture teams. - Training of all users in ALM (Quality Center) to ensure consistent execution evidencing and defect capture. - Co-ordinating the daily defect calls, producing execution statistics and enforcing the overall testing methods and framework. - Working with SMEs to validate test coverage across the following systems and solutions: Siebel, SAP, Business Object Reports; Avaya telephony, TotalView Workforce Management, Kana Live Chat and Verint Call Recording. From June 2014 to October 2014 (5 months) London, United KingdomUAT Manager – EMIR Trade Reporting @ With Programme terms of reference to deliver UAT for the business and technology changes required to conform to the trade reporting regulations defined by European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) Jon took responsibility for all derivative asset classes within HSBC Investment Bank. - Working with front, middle and back office stakeholders and the existing Programme test team Jon injected best practise to the test preparation. - With a strong risk based methodology Jon ran focused sessions with traders and change managers across the asset classes to enable them to build test coverage which would provide them the assurance of quality and accuracy required for go live. - Jon introduced execution schedules to the core test team and change managers. These were constructed for each asset class and was a powerful communication tool when agreeing resource profiles required (front to back) to execute and support execution. - Jon delivered test preparation on time and signed off. - Execution saw Jon managing a core team of eight test co-ordinators spanning Interest Rates, Credit, Emerging Markets (London and New York), Global FX, Global Equities and Exchange Traded Derivatives. - Jon ran the daily execution and defect calls and provided status reporting into the Programme. - Each asset class executed front to back exercising all in-house and third party vendor technology changes. Trade reporting validation was undertaken via the Global Trade Repository with Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) for all trades booked. - Jon managed the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) regression testing which was already live. - As part of Jon’s role he managed the preparation and execution with the following systems: DSL - DSMatch - Global Calypso - IceLink - MarkitWire - Murex - Summit - XFOS - NFOS - Apollo - DMWIM - Thunderhead - DTCC - Phoenix – Sophis. From October 2013 to February 2014 (5 months) Programme Test Manager - Securities and Fund Services @ With Programme terms of reference to deliver the business and technology changes to enable Citigroup to be the sole fund accountants and middle office service provider to Threadneedle Asset Management Jon was approached to provide test management across the projects devised to deliver this. Part of the Programme Management Board Jon’s key achievements included: - Providing senior client and internal stakeholder management reporting into the Executive Programme Team Jon delivered pragmatic and realistic structure and influence for all aspects of testing. - Built and delivered the programme test strategy and project specific master test plans - Constructed resource profiling, subsequent recruitment and team structuring to deliver to plan - Managed geographically disparate teams to deliver test preparation and execution including the multi-organisation joint testing - Facilitation deep dive workshops to drive out requirements where documentation was lacking and enforcing strict review and sign off procedures to help drive up quality - Created and deployed reporting standards and metrics used across all test preparation, execution and defect management. From February 2013 to September 2013 (8 months) Programme Test Manager - R2P (SAP SRM) @ With Programme terms of reference to deliver a global procurement solution for the Barclays Group, with projected spend throughput of £3.6 billion per year and a cost saving of £60 million, Jon accepted the opportunity to provide test management across this programme of deliverables. Joining a Programme which had not previously incorporated structure testing into its delivery methodology Jon worked from the ground up to increase quality. From February 2012 to December 2012 (11 months) Test Manager - HBOS Integration Live Trials (UAT) @ As the Corporate Markets Test Manager for the largest banking integration programme the United Kingdom has seen Jon accept the terms of reference to prove the post integration target operating model is fit for purpose and the customer experience is as expected once the HBOS accounts are migrated onto the Lloyds Banking Group platform. From September 2010 to September 2011 (1 year 1 month) Test Lead - Business Acceptance Testing – Group Protection @ As a direct result of his performance and professionalism whilst contracted to Nationwide Jon was recruited for this role to deliver end-to-end business process testing and application functional testing with Legal and General (L&G). With the ultimate goal of decommissioning their mainframe-based Risk Information Management System (RIMS) the Group Protection division of L&G engaged in a £20 million programme with Mumbai-based Mastek to provide a bespoke instance of Elixir to facilitate the management of their Group Protection business. From December 2009 to September 2010 (10 months) Senior Test Analyst - Asset Management (Joint SIT and UAT) @ Joint System Integration and User Acceptance Testing With terms of reference to increase the funds under management from £2.7 billion to £4 billion the project delivered a broader financial planning portfolio through partnering with Legal and General. Offering new asset management products, an extended range of investment funds, enhanced customer services and crucially more accurate management information functionality the project was deemed an undeniable success under difficult economic times.
