The system integrates data from many sources including claims and medical records, performs complex calculations, and provides a web-based set of tools for visualizing and analyzing results. The product uses speech recognition technology to achieve 120% improvement in medical transcriptionist productivity. An independent healthcare software ratings agency (KLAS) ranked the product #1 in its category for seven consecutive years based on customer surveys. The system scaled to a run rate of more than 2.3 billion lines of transcription per year and saved customers more than $130MM in transcription costs. As the Chief Architect for this product and member of the founding team, • Focused on data flow, workflow, billing, and the console for system administration • Served as database administrator, product manager, project leader, and sales engineer. Post-acquisition, I managed a team of 3 managers and 20 engineers split between Burlington MA, Montreal and Bangalore. The system continued to scale and when I left was deployed at 170+ customers.
