I have completed a Bachelor of Media (Public Relations and Advertising), with a minor in International Business at the University of New South Wales. My studies and work experience have informed my ambition and curiosity to explore and experiment with different strategic communication tactics to engage a targeted audience. Working in fundraising and sales has enhanced my interest in communications as well as exploring creative ways and outlets to create need and interest.TV Ad Operations Coordinator @ As a member of the TV Ad Operations team, my responsibilities include: - Assisting in media campaign management - Assisting in buying air-time (media buying on STV Foxtel Channels) which aligns with client objectives - Building last-minute media schedules for client proposals/bookings The skills/experience developed include: - An understanding of media buying in a competitive television market - Ability to work under tight deadlines to maximise campaign performance - Ability to assess campaign performance by using indicators like CPM (cost per thousand), SOV (share of voice) From January 2015 to November 2015 (11 months) Fundraising Promoter @ As a fundraising promoter for World Vision Australia, I was responsible for engaging with the general public and signing customers for the child sponsorship program. This was achieved through building rapport and relationships and connecting needs of customers to the program. In 2013, I achieved the highest average of sponsorships/shifts across the NSW/ACT region (achieving 69 sponsorships over the 6-week campaign). This was a result of seeking advice from successful promoters in the past and combining this knowledge with my drive to contribute to a bigger picture - that is, to have positive and proactive voice for the voiceless. From November 2012 to December 2014 (2 years 2 months) Marketing Intern @ As a marketing intern, I was responsible for day-to-day administration activities, social media, collating databases and writing up blog articles for the Basic Bananas Blog and creating my own Passion Project. This project was worked on for one-and-a-half months, brainstorming ideas in making social giving doable for small businesses. Moreover, spreadsheets which compared Australian charities and the social giving/strategy of major companies were collated. From June 2014 to August 2014 (3 months) Social Media Intern @ As the Social Media Intern at the Wilderness Society, I was responsible for managing social media platforms for the main fundraising event, Wild Endurance. My duties included creating excitement, encouraging recruitment and raising awareness through social media marketing. Social media platforms used include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.
