My career in UK housebuilding started with Barratt East London in the boom years of the mid 1980's and since I have continued to work through two major recessions. I spent over 25 years working for some of the largest UK house-builders, initially in technical roles, then specialising in land and development before spending the last 5 years as the Managing Director of regional operating companies, initially at Bellway and latterly at Persimmon Homes. During this time I was involved in a number of exciting and innovative projects ranging from conversions of warehouses along the Thames, major estate regeneration and large scale strategic developments. The broad experience gained with volume house builders has been put to good use in the start-up of on new residential development company based in Essex with my business partner. Using our own equity and a blend of senior debt from specialist lenders and mezzanine finance we have now established the Sunbury Homes brand. Since the end of 2011 we have completed or have in the pipeline schemes with a combined GDV of almost £20m. We are actively expanding the team and through our network of contacts are actively pursuing new opportunities in the sub-volume market with the positive backing of a number of specialist funders.Managing Director @ Sunbury Homes was established in 2011 to undertake residential development primarily in Essex, Kent and North-East London.
