Dr. Heinrich Arnold heads up Innovation and Laboratories at Deutsche Telekom AG with locations in Germany, Israel, and Silicon Valley. Under his leadership, significant contributions to products, infrastructures, and standards have been created over the last 10 years like Telekom's blueprint reference case for industry 4.0 and industrial internet with the Port of Hamburg. A number of businesses have their origins at the Innovation Development organization like the 100% subsidiaries of Telekom trust2core, Benocs, Motionlogic, LiteElements, and Falcon, as well as start-ups, such as Zimory, Yoochoose, QiSec, Spree, Schaltzeit, MisterX. Prior to this, he was involved in large-scale organizational and strategic projects including the spin-out of the cable business from Deutsche Telekom to what is now Kabel Deutschland. Before his appointment at Deutsche Telekom AG he worked for Mercer Management Consulting, now Oliver Wyman, and as a member of the management team of the German/Chinese research company Bicoll as well as Medigen. Dr. Arnold studied Technical Physics at Munich Technical University. He graduated with a Master of Science in Engineering from Stanford University, a Master of Business Research from Ludwig Maximilians Universität München and MIT, as well as a Ph.D. summa cum laude in Business Management. Dr. Arnold is a lecturer in Innovations Management, the author of the scientific book „Technology Shocks" on the management of radical technological change, and a member of the Innovation Leadership Advisory Boards of the School of Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He has been invited to the Young Global, European, and national Leader Forums of the BMW Quandt Foundation. Arnold is married with two sons.
