Oyster Restoration Specialist @ As Virginia's Oyster Restoration Specialist it is my job to assist in restoring the Chesapeake Bay through oyster restoration. Annually we plant millions of oysters in the Chesapeake watershed to help improve water quality. Oysters are amazing filters and a single 3" oyster can filter up to 50 gallons of water a day. Everyone loves to eat oysters so CBF works closely with the local watermen to help them maintain their businesses as well as completing our mission. The public can get involved in our efforts by becoming oyster gardeners and growing their own baby oysters for a year then returning them to be planted on sanctuary reefs. From May 2014 to Present (1 year 8 months) Diver/Educator @ When I am an educator I stand at different stations around the aquarium and inform guests about the tanks. However on days that I am a diver, I participate in the dive shows. There are two divers, one dives the actual show and feeds the animals while the other one narrates and entertains the crowd. We are responsible for preparing the food for all shows. From June 2012 to March 2014 (1 year 10 months) Divemaster @ Daily dive charters are taken out of Murrell's Inlet and a divemaster is needed on every one. The divemaster is in charge of all divers aboard the boat. From April 2012 to October 2013 (1 year 7 months)
