Network Engineer @ From April 2015 to Present (7 months) Network Engineer @ Two times a year i build and maintain the worlds largest LAN party together with ~30 other individuals. I've been in two different teams during my tenure at Dreamhack, first the Support team where we fixed broken hardware setups, software installations and the end users network connectivity from the access switch to the user. This was done in about 1 year from starting to plan the actual project and to finishing the implementation. Iʼve also been in charge of designing and deploying a new network for the new corporate office. With my suggestions in optimising the workflow we have started using Git for all our code versioning, specifically github. From August 2010 to November 2011 (1 year 4 months) System Engineer @ At Miniclip my role was everything from my assigned title of System Engineer to being hands on installation technician. During my time at Miniclip we grew the company into a next-generation technology. I designed, wrote and implemented a new provisioning system and a new monitoring system. We also standardised the server farms into a pure CentOS 5 from being a scattered deployment with Debian, Fedora and other various linux distributions. From January 2009 to August 2010 (1 year 8 months) DBA, Sysadmin @ At Playdo I had a diverse role as the sole technical person in the whole company. This made me the go to guy for everything from IT-purchases, System Engineering and Network Engineering. During my time at Playdo we went from using 4 dell servers and a bunch of virtual machines from a consultancy service, to a streamlined setup of 14 servers in a collocation cage. I deployed Cisco CSS Loadbalancers, Cisco Catalyst Switches and Cisco ASA firewalls. On this setup we went from an average of 70 concurrent players to 600. We built this setup on Linux, Java and MySQL. Playdo developed and maintained a MMORPG for the age group 7-14. I took on the challenge, on my spare time, to write a NPC bot which could walk around in the world and be apart of a quest or just provide some game feeling. For example a old man that walked around in the village telling the “partying” players to be quiet or similar. This was accomplished by diving into Java, I wrote a a-star implementation so the NPC could walk around items in the world or just evade other players, for example running away from players and finding the optimal path around. From July 2008 to December 2008 (6 months) Linux / Network Consultant @ During my time at Cardium I developed a skill for integration while still being able to maintain focus on problem solving and birds-eye perspective. I was the Technical contact for Redhat and I took a certification in Zarafa Mail Server. I worked on Quest VAS integration projects among others. Cardium was the place for me to grow as a system administrator/engineer into a Linux Specialist. My main task was to do custom linux installations and setups for our customers. In addition to that, me and a colleague of mine started to develop a management system for Xen. It was a project developed in RoR with some custom ruby modules for interacting with the Xen backend. This project gave me good inside knowledge on how Xen works. From 2007 to June 2008 (1 year) Systemadministrator @ I worked as a NOC-operator on a 24/7 rotation with the responsibility of maintaining servers and doing initial troubleshooting. This also included customer service work during night shifts. This position gave me the birds-eye view of systems and networks which Iʼve since used in my day to day work. I became responsible for some major custom Linux installations, including Ericsson MD110 PBXʼs, where I wrote python and bash scripts to take full backups of the built in postgresql database, without having access to the system itself since it was a closed proprietary system. From July 2006 to October 2007 (1 year 4 months) Systemdeveloper @ Implemented a new streaming technology that was based on peer-2-peer networking. From May 2004 to June 2006 (2 years 2 months)
