Although a qualified accountant, (I'm a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) my real area of expertise is Internal Audit including controls and governance. I have worked in Internal Audit (planning, delivery and reporting) for a large, international business for over 20 years which has given me a broad appreciation of different business activities and cultures. I am a member (formerly Chair) of the ACCA's Internal Audit Network Panel, which provides technical advice and guidance to the ACCA on internal audit matters and continuing professional development opportunities to members (and non-members) interested in internal audit through a series of seminars and an annual conference.
