From October 1986 to May 2010 (23 years 8 months) Currently reside in Grove City, OhioProgram Administrator @ Ohio Department of Job and Family Services Serves as agency manager for directing the implementation of policy for State Veterans Program. Manages program operations for 88 Ohio counties. Formulates, implements and interprets service delivery program monitoring system policies and procedures for veterans; Develops and implements usage of various evaluation tools, instruments and methodologies needed for effective assessment of State Veterans Program; Oversees case management activities for those veterans seeking help in finding employment; Ensures State Veterans Program complies with policies and procedures established by the State Veterans Program in accordance with federal laws and regulations. Researches information and drafts responses to inquiries from the public for Governor’s, administrator’s, and/or Director’s signature, assists in the preparation of required reports; operates personal computer and applicable software to develop tracking program for monitoring service delivery programs and provides reports to State Veterans coordination; secures concurrence of U.S. Department of Labor Veterans Employment and Training Services (DOL/VETS). Columbus, Ohio AreaRegional Veterans Program Manager @ Ohio Department of Job and Family Services Provide leadership to veterans staff which includes veteran employment representatives and disabled veteran outreach specialists in eleven Ohio counties. Provide work direction, evaluations, administer labor agreement and encourage staff development. Ensure staff efficiency and productivity through observation and monitoring reports. Ensure that all departments are adequately staffed in providing services to military veterans and eligible family members. Conducts staff training on federal, state and local policies, procedures and programs designed to build, enhance and sustain quality of life issues for the veteran population. Work with federal, state and local agencies to develop programs for recognition of military training to satisfy career credentialing and certification requirements. Perform public service presentations which address veterans issues in employment, education, medical and other entitled benefits to include the new Montgomery GI Bill for the purpose of educating the public and conducting employment outreach efforts for Ohio's disabled veteran population.
