Industrial Engineer @ Responsible for the Electrical Testing Safety improvements for the facility. Designed and built barrier guarding for Electrical Testing Areas. Worked with Engineering to design electrical safety control systems. Work with the assembly teams to improve Safety, Ergonomics, and Product Flow in the areas. Redesigned assembly line layouts and assembly stands that eliminated heavy lifting and Ergo concerns. Lead the Ergonomics Team which completed 90% of their targeted action plans. Led the Safety Committee which completed Area Inspections, implemented employee improvement suggestions, conducted Safe Behavior Audits, and monthly recognition of employees actively engaged with Safety (monthly). From January 2014 to Present (2 years) Environmental, Health & Safety Manager @ Responsible for the development and implementation of EHS programs for the Cleveland, TN facility with 20+ years working in Industrial Manufacturing. Developed programs around stamping equipment such as, Mechanical Presses, Hydraulic Press Brakes and Turret Presses. Developed a Below-the-Hook rigging program for the Tool & Die Shop. Improvements in recycling allowed for 90% of waste to be recycled. Developed and conducted EHS training for the facility and developed Training Matrics to track training completion. Developed a Safe Behavior Audit Program and led numerous EHS Teams. Have led projects such as, Asbestos Abatement, Machine Guarding Improvements, Ergonomics Improvements, Water Mapping, and Eliminated the need for Storm Water Permit. Manged the Employee Suggestion Program which averaged about 550 implemented ideas a year. From May 2006 to January 2014 (7 years 9 months) Production Coordinator @ Responsible for developing the position for the Fabrication Area. Scheduled orders to be ran through the Fabrication and Assembly Departments. Developed tools used to track materials and orders to improve material flow through the facility. Implemented a board to show production in Assembly which contributed to a 7% increase in production. Supervised various areas throughout the facility when supervisors were out. Developed a training program for Power Press Operators. From March 2004 to May 2006 (2 years 3 months) Fabricator @ Worked in the Fabrication Department operating Mechanical Power Presses, Press Brakes, and Turret Presses. Built models and 1st run parts. Lead operator and trainer for the Press Brake Area. Developed the Standard Work for set-up and operation of machines. From April 1993 to March 2004 (11 years)
