I am an expert in the Computer Vision field, with an in-depth experience on 2D/3D face recognition, Object detection, 3D reconstruction, Visualization and Biometrics. I spent several years in the academic world researching on 3D face recognition algorithms and systems. In 2011 I joined the automotive industry and now I am a Senior R&D Vision Engineer working on innovative ADAS systems. I am interested in research and/or development positions in the Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Biometrics and Automotive fields.
Senior Engineer - Object Detection Function Development Lead @ I am a Senior Vision Engineer for Delphi, Advanced Engineering Department (DEAE) and I lead the Object Detection Function Development for various kind of vision based ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) applications. From November 2014 to Present (11 months) Wuppertal Area, GermanyVision Engineer @ I have been Vision Engineer for Delphi, Advanced Engineering Department (DEAE). I worked on innovative computer vision applications for the automotive field. In particular I researched, studied, implemented and maintained algorithms and systems for various kind of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) applications. From January 2013 to November 2014 (1 year 11 months) Wuppertal Area, GermanyComputer Vision R&D Engineer @ I have been a Computer VIsion R&D Engineer for ADAsens Automotive Innovation (part of Ficosa group). I worked on various kind of ADAS systems; in particular I developed an innovative Obstacle Detection system. From September 2011 to December 2012 (1 year 4 months) BarcelonaPostdoctoral researcher @ I have been a researcher in 3D imaging, vision and biometrics during my academic career. Most of the work has been focused on investigating innovative algoritms for 3D face recognition. In particular, I designed a fully automatic pipeline for 3D face detection and recognition in case of occluded faces and uncostrained scenarios. I published a database of 3D faces containing the larger set of occluded faces (www.ivl.disco.unimib.it/umbdb). I also investigated the synthesis of faces through computer graphic techniques: the results have been included in an automatic generator of artificial face datasets (the Facile system). From January 2008 to September 2011 (3 years 9 months) Milan Area, ItalyLecturer @ I have been lecturer of several courses at the Department of Computer Science (DISCo); among them:
- Programming in C++
- Computer Graphics
- Computer Graphics for Embedded Systems
- Multimedia Formats From 2006 to 2011 (5 years) Milan Area, Italy
