Specialties: Sales
CEO @ From October 2014 to Present (1 year 3 months) CEO @ Online distribution of electronic cigarettes and accesoires. From February 2012 to Present (3 years 11 months) Shop Advisor @ Customer service, customer happiness, sales, a social worker and a teacher. I teach people what they need, want and can do. Showing people they want help, advice and a great product from you as a person. I am not a big fan of target selling. If the customer is happy, I am happy. And if they are happy they bought what they did not know they needed yet. Being honestly enthousiastic about a product, or in this specific case a telecom service provider, will make your customer enthousiastic about the same product. A good salesman (or business owner) manipulates people into buying not caring about unhappy customer. A great salesman (or business owner) is the guy who is passionate about his product without knowing it. I am neither. I have always been myself and sell what I like and fits that customer. I just try to ask the right questions, to get the answers I need, being very observant while not thinking about it, understanding and matching that person with what he or she needed and did not even know. All the while not thinking about the sales, but the challenge to figure out what that person needed. That I sold ok, that was just luck I guess. From December 2011 to March 2013 (1 year 4 months) Keuken/weekendhulp @ After my last job, I liked working in a kitchen. Working alone and also in a group. I had different responsibities, varying from relaxing preparation of food for evening buffets. To jumping around the kitchen with 300 guests (with my colleagues offcourse) having my own stations, which could be as simple as baking french fries or cooking vegetables. To cutting vegetables like the world was going to end. To making a small plate of art of a simple dish. I learned discipline and order. While having fun, looking like a clown but actually working deadly serious. Shouting, and mostly being shouted at, that you need to work faster, better, harder. And afterwards being fulfilled after 12 days of running around in a hot kitchen, and having a drink with the same guys you having shouting contests with. I just had fun, had the freedom to do what I was good at, and had the room for surprising people by exceeding their expectations. I learned to have respect for the people who do actually earn it, but never giving in if I know best. These people really loved their job, that is something I greatly respect. Still, I meet old colleagues, I have more in common with many of them than some of my friends now, no hard feelings... I guess, I made people smile, did my work, liked to teach new colleagues how to do something like it should be done, with my own little twist. There are so many almost invisible tweaks you can give a dish no one really notices. In a bigger and less luxury restaurant I got the chance to experiment a little with what went out. I just learned to know and respect all sorts off people. This might have been the best learning experience, making me the CEO and employer I am now. These other fully learned cooks, the Chef and offcourse my boss and bosses unknowingly tought me how to be strict and nice at the same time. See the potential and confidence in people, and help them grow together with my company of which they are also a part. Life is like a kitchen on saturday.
