Im a recent graduate with 5 years experience running my own business and just under two years experience working in the finance industry with a focus on sales/marketing. I ran my business during the summer months and it gave me a wide variety of experiences in many areas of business. I produce marketing materials, create scripts, hired, trained, supervised, scheduled, and paid staff, organize marketing campaigns, built relationships with clients etc. It has given me a great opportunity to apply both of my degrees.
Since graduating in 2013 I have been working primarily in the finance industry. While working with investors group I obtained my mutual fund and insurance licence in order to sell investments, insurance, and mortgages as part of a financial plan. I learned a lot about financial planning, mutual funds, portfolio construction and investment theory. Shortly after this I worked with TD Canada Trust in their account management department working on various outbound campaigns.

The demonstrating position involves gaining in depth industry and product knowledge for various products, and giving interactive demonstrations to crowds at trade shows and retail stores across australia. We set up and tear down mobile stores every two weeks. Having many products available to me, I was able to focus on a broad market, and my initiatives included direct mail, trade shows, golf tournaments, and cold calling to contact prospects. I developed and followed my own unique sales process which allowed me to present myself, Investors group, and the services we offered.
