Sr. Manager, Health Economics & Reimbursement @ From August 2012 to Present (3 years 5 months) Sr. Manager, Health Economics and Reimbursement @ Boston Scientific Neuromodulation manufactures and markets implantable neurostimulation devices. Their primary approved product is a spinal cord stimulation (SCS) system for the treatment of chronic pain.
I managed the strategic reimbursement initiatives for Boston Scientific's primary products and procedures to ensure appropriate coverage, coding, and payment. In addition, I worked closely with emerging indications and marketing to bring reimbursement support and expertise for new applications of our technology.
I worked closely with overseeing the Reimbursement Services Call Center function that supports the benefit verification, pre-authorization, and insurance support for our patients and customers. My role also proactively partnered with the Field Reimbursement Managers to provide appropriate direction and support with ongoing projects that align best-in-class reimbursement support for our Sales team and external customers. From July 2006 to July 2012 (6 years 1 month) Vice President, Business Operations @ Metiscan Technologies specializes in providing diagnostic imaging support and turnkey solutions for freestanding diagnostic testing facilities.
In this role, my responsibilities included managing the business operations for ten freestanding MRI centers from center operations, personnel, revenue cycle management, and project opportunities that presented growth and expansion of our core business.
In addition, I was instrumental in initiating, developing, and supporting turnkey solutions for other freestanding imaging centers in providing RIS (radiology information system) that integrated real time MRI, CT, US, and x-ray scans with a patient scheduling, reporting, and teleradiology system that provided a seamless continuum of services for streamlined delivery of imaging and radiology services. From November 2000 to June 2006 (5 years 8 months) Director, Business Development @ MRI Management, Inc. is an organization that specializes in finding opportunities for growing freestanding MRI centers for physician practices and entrepreneurial start-ups.
In my role, my responsibilities included performing due diligence to find areas where imaging needs were scarce and develop a market which fosters relationships between healthcare providers and facilities to develop freestanding imaging centers. Part of the successful implementation of this plan included working closely with reimbursement in negotiating key contracts with managed care plans and appropriately overseeing the revenue cycle management for receivables.
In addition, I was also responsible for challenges that included turning poor performing imaging centers into fully operational ones that hit key deliverables by training the appropriate personnel and marketing to key healthcare providers and hospitals. From November 1998 to November 2000 (2 years 1 month)
