From June 2014 to Present (1 year 7 months) 2013-2014 Fulbright Grant Research Study @ Through my Fulbright study/research project, I will acquire more understanding about how culture, values, and beliefs influence the decision to choose palliative care and not pursue curative treatment. What is the Filipino perspective about dignified dying? Family plays a significant role in providing support and assistance. How does the role of family and their socioeconomic status influence the decision-making process? How do nurse educators increase awareness about palliative care and culturally appropriate care among nurses? My research will provide answers to these questions among others.
