Software Engineer @ • Test Reporting – Developing a test reporting and automation system. We service a dozen android test teams by providing a web interface for uploading test results and viewing reports. We also develop the backend system to interface with automation tests and other RESTful clients.

Our features sat mainly in Android user/java space. Main concepts were sockets, Android, connectivity, and interface selection, wlan, server/client model.

• Database Wrapper – wrote two sqlite database wrapper classes in Android user space.
• Internet Connectivity Detection – developed state machine logic which determined whether there was internet connectivity available over wifi.
• API development – developed a public java API which our customers used to interact with our server.
• Unit Test Suite – developed a unit test framework for our Android user space modules. Framework utilized gtest for assertions and reporting but provided a central stub location for all unit test classes.
• Mentoring – mentored 7 team members that were either new to Qualcomm or transferred from other teams. From August 2011 to July 2013 (2 years) Software Developer @ • Microprocessor Programming - Developed software for a rabbit microprocessor that received a 37-byte packet data stream via a radio transmitter from the UAV. The data was received by a ground based station and sent to a serial comport, parsed, and displayed on-screen for the user to analyze.
• Our team won 5th place in an international UAV competition in Maryland. From October 2009 to March 2011 (1 year 6 months) Greater San Diego AreaSoftware Engineer @ • Data Logger - developed a data logger which captures large resolution frames from a camera on the UAV and logged them to disk. Video frames were displayed in real time to the user via a simple interface.
• LIDAR data parser - developed a Java deskstop application to parse large data files of LIDAR data. The data was used to map out the 3D surface of the ocean as seen from the UAV. From 2010 to 2011 (1 year) Greater San Diego AreaResearch Intern @ • Grid Computing - Worked for UCSD physics dept. on improving the access to grid resources for the scientific community. Responsible for developing test cases to probe grid entry points and created reports using python scripts.
