Toby Champion completed his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Brighton in 1998. After completing undergraduate degree, he worked as a software engineer at the British company, IPRA (formerly Mindspring International), from January 1998 to December 2000 in Brighton, UK. There he developed the prototype for the CITB's Future Skills website. There he also did the requirements analysis, specification, project management, and some travel involved in learning how to use various software development tools. In February 2012, Toby Champion joined the AdReady team as a Django Developer. There he worked on the design and implementation of business logic and RESTful API methods in a Django application. He also evaluated and recommended improvements in this and other aspects of development that were immediately taken up. In November2011, Toby Champion worked with Socketek LLC with a large cellphone manufacturer in an internal web development project. He helped bash the application into shape and helped develop a one-click deployment infrastructure. In February 2012, he joined the Red Answers team as a Python Developer. There he helped get a new Pyramid/Pylons Facebook application ready for production. There he also worked on the design and implementation of asynchronous tasks inPython with Celery, RabbitMQ. He also developed, documented and evangelized coding standards, with templates for Python packages. Toby Champion also built a continuous development pipeline using Jenkins and a shared library in Groovy. In January 2018, he joined the Policy Studies Institute as a Senior Software Engineer. There he designed and oversaw the development of the web application that runs the University of Westminster's radio-based asset management system. In December 2019, he completed his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Brighton.
