In fact, his success led to the creation of Affinity as a new business unit. He was also responsible for existing clients including American Express and Discover generating over $100mm in annual revenue.
He led, directed and managed a 40+ member business development, marketing, sales engineering and client services team. From June 2010 to January 2013 (2 years 8 months) VP Business Development / Head of Consumer Protection @ Asked to leverage the new California S.B.1386 (Beach Notification Law), Tim launched Experian’s Data Breach Resolution practice and developed its overall go to market strategy, sales, product delivery and client support. Olson grew this business to over $150mm of annual revenue by building a broad referral network and establishing Experian as the dominate provider in the data breach resolution and ID theft protection space.
He personally supported over 2100 organizations’ data breach events – many the largest and most publicized in US history, including Bank of America, Bank of New York Mellon, Cisco Systems, Boeing and The Walt Disney Company. He also won the US Government’s RFP for data breach response leading to contracts with the VA, IRS, SSA, State Department, National Archives and the FTC, to name a few. From September 2004 to June 2010 (5 years 10 months) Consultant Lead, CreditSecure @ Prior to joining Experian, Olson directed the re-launch of American Express’ CreditSecure, its fee-based credit protection product and one of the largest installed base of consumers with an identity theft protection and credit management product in the US. From September 2002 to September 2004 (2 years 1 month) Co-Founder, CEO @ Co-founded customer rewards company, conceived and developed retailer-focused rewards program that produced over $350 million in incremental consumer spending and 500% ROI within Fortune 500 companies including Avis, MasterCard, The Walt Disney Company and Ralphs -- a Division of Kroger.
Launched national TV ad campaign acquiring over one million direct-to-consumer users. Start-up was also featured in The Wall Street Journal, NBC's Today Show and Fox News.
Tim was responsible for raising $43mm in three rounds of venture capitol funding from firms in both Silicon Valley and Manhattan.
Grew business and competitive advantage of a start-up by conceiving and introducing multiple new online products. Forged positive new multi-million-dollar relationships with credit card issuers and national retailers. Employed sound decision-making and effective leadership to ensure profitable outcomes after on boarding strategic accounts.

(acquired by NSC 10/2002) From January 1999 to September 2002 (3 years 9 months) SVP, Americas, Global Services @ Tim was the SVP for London-based Thomas Cook, London with over $50 billion in annual revenue and the largest global provider of travel and financial related services. He managed its Global Services Group for North America and supported accounts including AAA, Barclays and HSBC. From December 1997 to January 1999 (1 year 2 months) London, United KingdomVP Business Development @ Olson began his career working with financial institutions as Vice President of Business Development for United Bank Services where he conceived of the “any airline, any flight, any time – no blackout dates” bankcard rewards program. He successfully implemented this program in over 50 financial institutions including Household Credit Services, Wells Fargo Bank and Visa International.
