I am providing Technical Project Management expertise and SAP Technical expertise to ensure MOA has the best possible system and is fully ready to support the system upon Go-Live. From January 2014 to Present (2 years) Associate Partner @ Tom serves as the primary Technical Architect for The Peloton Group and customers. An unabashed SAP True Believer, Tom has worked for over 16 years in and around SAP Basis. For the first twelve of those years, Tom was a Basis consultant, Technical Consulting Manager, and Technical Liaison at SAP America. For the last seven years, Tom has focused on helping Public Sector clients maximize their SAP investment by designing and implementing solid infrastructures.
Known for his ability to present technical topics appropriately for multiple audiences, Tom is an award-winning SAP Community Network blogger and popular speaker at ASUG and customer events. Tom still gets passionate when discussing geeky technical minutia relating to transport strategy, infrastructure design, and generally all things Basis, Implementation Methodology, and/or Solution Manager.
In his spare time, Tom enjoys mentoring others who are just starting out their SAP career. He collaborates with universities to bring real world perspective to students, most recently guest lecturing at the University of Alaska, Anchorage. From January 2014 to Present (2 years) Houston, Texas AreaSAP Basis Architect @ Worked as an Independent Subcontractor on an technical refresh project for the USDA. SAP Systems involved: ECC 6.0 EHP6, SRM 7.0 EHP2, CRM 7.0 EHP2, NetWeaver 7.3 EHP1, SolMan 7.1, and TREX 7.1. My efforts primarily focused around the upgrade of PI. In addition, I provided Technical Project Management support and provided key contributions to the winning Refresh proposal. From June 2013 to January 2014 (8 months) Washington D.C. Metro AreaSAP Basis Architect @ Served as Quality Control for the technological aspects of the GFEBS base program, the Procure to Pay project, and the Sensitive Agencies project. Assisted with SAP Architecture design decisions. Ensured that the System’s Intergrator’s implementation meets government requirements. For Procure to Pay and Sensitive Agencies, performed hands on installation and maintenance tasks in addition to architecture responsibilities. From January 2011 to June 2013 (2 years 6 months) IS Specialist @ Basis guy. The more things change... From December 2009 to February 2011 (1 year 3 months) Technical Consultant @ Consultant (6 months) --> TCM (1.5 years) --> Liaison (1 year) --> TCM (1.5 years) --> Consultant (7.5 years)
Took me a while, but I eventually learned to stick with what I loved most, elbow deep in the bits and bytes.
