Annual turnover of £200m, supplying both branded and own label varieties of beet and cane bagged sugar, flour, wafers and cones, ice cream dressings and milk shake flavourings to all major high street retailers and food service companies. From October 2009 to July 2011 (1 year 10 months) Operations Director Fresh Cut Produce Business @ Reporting to the Managing Director of FCP, working as part of a Senior Management team, I have responsibility for the performance of 5 autonomous business units situated in both the UK and South Africa. The FCP business focuses upon the manufacture of Bagged and Tray Salads, Prepared Fruit and Stir Fry Ready Meals for all major high street retailers. Annual turnover of £130m; Employing seasonally between 1200 and 1600 employees. From March 2003 to April 2009 (6 years 2 months) Project Director @ This role was undertaken, tasked to deliver a ‘Centre of Manufacturing Excellence’, through process, engineering and productivity optimisation. Reporting to the CEO, challenged to deliver within a 12 months window a new 5000 m2, fully automated factory, total project budget £11M. An integral part of the overall Geest strategy, the factory was to be designed for the manufacture of mayonnaise based dips for all major high street retailers, with an annual turn over of £40M and with total workforce of 46 people. From June 2001 to February 2003 (1 year 9 months) Manufacturing Manager @ Dips and Dressings Business,Spalding, Lincolnshire part of Geest PLC. Reporting to the General Manager, accountable for all Manufacturing, Operational planning, HR, Technical and Engineering functions within this autonomous business. Annual turnover £60M and employing seasonally between 300 and 500 people. From June 1999 to June 2001 (2 years 1 month) Site Manufacturing Manager @ Cott Beverages International, Kegworth, Derbyshire.Reporting to the Operations Director, the Kegworth operation is the Flagship site within the Cott organisation world wide; supplying carbonated soft drinks to all UK major high street retailers with a range of 800 Sku’s and has an annual turnover in excess of £160m for the site and employing 250 people. From October 1994 to June 1999 (4 years 9 months) Site Manufacturing Engineer @ Brush Electrical Machines, Loughborough, Leicestershire.Reporting to the Manufacturing Director responsible for all engineering projects involved in the manufacturing process of large electrical generators.
