Leading a team of 6 HR Managers, operating as a member of the CCC Leadership Team, I was responsible for integrating both the Westpac and the St.George Bank Customer Contact Centres to create the Australian Financial Services CCC, for developing and implementing the human resources plan (with a strong employee engagement focus) to support delivery of the new CCC business strategy and transformation as well as ensuring all business as usual processes and productivity improvements were delivered. From November 2011 to June 2012 (8 months) Sydney, AustraliaHead of HR, Online & Customer Service Centres – Westpac @ The Online and Customer Service Centre (CSC) business comprised of approximately 1500 employees across 7 sites within Australia. Leading a team of 5 HR Managers, I was responsible for all elements of HR Management including leadership coaching and support, the development and implementation of the Online and CSC HR plan, the achievement of key people metrics as outlined in the business strategy and management of employee relations issues. Following the merger of Westpac and St.George (of which I led the Product integration), I partnered with the newly appointed General Manager, Product whose team comprised approximately 140 professional employees managing Product for Westpac, St.George, BankSA and Rams. From May 2007 to February 2010 (2 years 10 months) Sydney, AustraliaHR Manager, Direct Financial Services, CFS (Jun06 – Apr07) @ Direct Financial Services (DFS) comprised Westpac's Sales and Service Call Centres, with 7 Call Centres located across 4 States and approximately 2000 employees. I joined the business as the HR Manager (leading a team of 2 HR consultants) as the business entered a period of significant structural, cultural and technological transition which included the appointment of a new General Manager tasked with bringing a new way of working to the centres.
Responsibilities included provision of leadership coaching and support, driving cultural change and business performance improvement, management of employee relations and Union issues, workforce planning, leadership development and development and implementation of the Health and Safety Management Plan. During this period I also continued to provide HR support to the Product & Marketing business.
