I am an experienced frontend developer originally from Bucharest, Romania and currently living in Amsterdam, for more than 3 years now. I’ve been working as a web developer since 2008, initially developing full websites but after then transitioning more specifically to frontend development.
I like the diversity of technologies involved in web development and I am excited about the continuous evolvement of frontend languages, programming styles and tooling. Clean and reusable code, abstraction, design patterns implementation, unit testing and automated testing are for me the indispensable ingredients of a successful and maintainable application.
In my work, I always aim for the quality and the performance of the UI that translates into great user experience. I have a product oriented mindset and I have worked on different kinds of projects and applications, from classic e-commerce websites, to social networking websites, including mobile websites and mobile hybrid applications.
Frontend developer @ At the moment I am part of the team responsible for building the brand new and improved customer experience on the new mobile websites. As part of this team, my responsibilities include:
- Implement the new responsive layout and design
- Build separate new components for different sections of the UI
- Write new modules in CoffeeScript responsible for different parts of the application
- Refactor old code, define reusable patterns
