This involved extensive research into project management best practices, documentation of current project processes in place in different departments, evaluation of current systems documentation produced, gap analysis to desired processes & goals, creation of new SDLC artifacts, and education to project teams on the new process and deliverables. From September 2001 to May 2006 (4 years 9 months) School Board Member @ Headed up Saint Mary's Technology Committee, a volunteer parent organization that designed and implemented a five-year technology refresh plan that replaced aging computer, wired the school for Ethernet, provided internet connectivity, relocated and modernized the computer lab, worked with the Computer instructor on new curriculum, worked with the Building Committee on the design of the new school wing, and acted as technology mentors for both teachers and students. From September 1995 to May 2004 (8 years 9 months) Manager, Network Engineering & Operations @ Transitioned to the newly-formed network engineering and operations team in 1991 and took over leadership of that team in 1995. Led the effort that resulted in expansion of the network from ten workstations in a single room in 1991 to a fully meshed, redundant, secure, nationwide network of over 1000 nodes in 15 locations across the country by 2001. Also oversaw the introduction of Novell Directory Services and the first enterprise-wide identity management solution. These efforts included developing brand new infrastructures, policies, and procedures to cover all aspects of client/server computing including identity management, data security, transport security, network quality of service, firewalls, disaster recovery, and federal audit reporting requirements. Managed a team of 12 network engineers, server specialists, desktop technicians, and help desk personnel. From February 1995 to September 2001 (6 years 8 months) Systems Analyst @ Worked with business teams to gather requirements and used those to create business problem statements and corresponding technical requirements.
