22 years of experience in enterprise solutions design and development, gained in both the private and public sectors across a diverse set of projects and roles. This has provided a wide range of skills and in-depth technical understanding that can be applied to many different areas. I enjoy problem solving, particularly when the problem requires a depth of understanding.Technical Architect @ Part of the future infrastructure project. This is a conceptual environment for hosting highly elastic workloads, using a hybrid Cloud and cutting edge technology. From November 2015 to Present (2 months) Principal Engineer @ Tasks so far have included: Designing and implementing an automated build solution utilising Microsoft WDS, Puppet and Sabrina; which will allow the project to expand the number of builds it currently handles. Selecting, testing and documenting advances in replacement hardware for current end of life parts. From May 2015 to October 2015 (6 months) Solutions Architect @ Designing a new object modelling system based on WPF, C#, WCF, SQL2014 and Azure. I have designed a cloud enabled application that allows users to create their own objects, properties and methods using templates. The system can be used for any financial application where it is either not possible to find an off the shelf solution that would fit the requirements or a significant degree of flexibility to grow the application is required. From October 2014 to May 2015 (8 months) Consultant @ Responsible for the design, support and development of the Service Management solution in the Deployed environment of the classified Defence Information Infrastructure (DII) solution, the biggest IT project in Europe (http://www.atlasconsortium.info). The Deployed environment is a virtualised mobile subset of the main solution optimised for remote operation with additional bespoke features. A great deal of work was required to translate the main solution (Fixed) into meaningful designs for Deployed. Starting with the existing Fixed implementation of a heavily customised Service Desk and defining an approach to integrate this with a number of Deployed Service Desk sites. Keeping data aligned, providing incident replication and designing the interfaces with other applications to create a fully integrated environment, able to operate in an autonomous capacity or, when secure connections existed, communicate back to the main solution. From January 2008 to October 2014 (6 years 10 months) Technical Manager - Permanent @ Delamar was set up to create modular building systems and has had a reasonable degree of success over the years, with a certain amount of government interest. I was offered the role of IT manager during the proposed takeover of Jaguar’s old site at Browns Lane, Coventry. Delamar wanted a new application that would allow users to drag three dimensional models of cabins, stairwells, corridors and optional components onto a viewing area to create their own building. • Worked with the directors to produce high level specifications, requirements and rough budget outlines for the I.T projects. • Undertook a project to audit existing Browns Lane factory computer systems, this involved structured systems analysis and costing to evaluate existing equipment. • Set up Microsoft Exchange Server and SharePoint Server, connected remote users via Outlook Web Access and remote desktop. • Set up company documentation structure and backups. • Designed and implemented prototype systems utilising WWF and XAML, Virtualised environment, serialisation streams etc. From May 2005 to February 2007 (1 year 10 months) Vice President @ Financial Risk Management (FRM) is a hedge fund company in the UK. When I joined, FRM wanted me to update their share registration system. I lead a small team in the analysis and documentation of the existing IT systems and business processes for: rebates, equalisation, KYC and customer compliance tracking, portfolio calculations, reporting and new monies functionality. I produced the plans for the changes necessary to the business, the various banks and supporting institutions and the existing infrastructure to migrate to the new solution. • Redefined the client structure and formalised business terminology. • Reviewed and documented Asset Management IT infrastructure to expand system integration, including an assessment of automation on common tasks. • Designed and conducted a data reconciliation process with transactions data imported from the Royal Bank of Canada. • Designed and wrote the system for rebates and equalisation calculations. From April 2003 to October 2004 (1 year 7 months) London, United Kingdom Stafford Walton is skilled in: Equities, Fixed Income, Alternative Investments, Asset Managment, Hedge Funds, Disaster Recovery, Business Analysis, Microsoft SQL Server, Trading Systems, C#, CA Service Desk, CA Service Catalog, Virtualization, Requirements Analysis, Asset Management
