Commencing his career at the Army Apprentices College & Royal School of Military Engineering as an electrical engineer, Simon has 20 years post qualification experience in the Construction industry, working as sub-contractor, main contractor and design team. Simon completed a further degree in 2001 before joining his current employer, Jan 2005, in the position of building services design manager. Simon’s all round experience, enquiring mind, professionalism and attention to detail make him an asset to any team, providing invaluable support and direction to the design and construction managers. Simon is an advocate of professional institutes, student mentoring and continued professional development. Presently, Simon is responsible for IET Business Partner and Engineering Your Future liaison for his employer. He is also an active CIBSE committee member. Simon is a regular attendee at CPD events including “Build Off-Site” and UK Green Building Council.
