I enjoy learning how computers mingle on networks and function at the operating system level. To get a feel for what I'm into: I know the difference between a process and a thread, a compiler and a linker, .text and .bss, kernel and user space, ECB and CBC ciphers, SYN cookies and oatmeal cookies. I write software primarily in python and C. I am currently delving into linux kernel development on the side.
I also enjoy staying abreast of technological advances and finding creative ways to solve problems. The Free and Open Source Software movement has influenced me greatly so I strive to give back by contributing code and help to the community by way of my code repository, blog, and local meetups.
