Masters Student at UNC-Charlotte with a specialization in data science and management. The Masters program has given me the opportunity to work on several interesting projects and improve my skills as I advance in my fledgling career and widen my horizons
4years of Undergraduate studies gave me a strong foundation in the basics of Computer Science which helped me create small scale projects as a part of the curriculum and do it efficiently in terms of having a clean code.
Sentiment Analysis was my first foray into the field of large scale data. I was introduced into the concept of sentiment analysis by Dr. Saji K Matthew at IIT-Madras where I learnt R programming and using the skills I could do the project of observing the sentiments of spectators while watching a soccer game and as well as analyze the movie review where the database was obtained from Stanford's website. This never stopped me from moving forward. Using the concepts I learnt from my time at IIT, I worked with a few of my mates to publish a paper regarding Sentiment Analysis from Images. This gave me a wider knowledge of the usage of data and how a lot of new problems can be solved with it.
iOS application development is a field which has interested me a lot which made me dive into Swift and Objective-C. I may not have published any apps on the App store but my curiosity helped me created the clones of Snapchat, Instagram and Flappy Bird.
Apart from academics, I have also kept myself busy by taking part in the ACM organization in the campus, working as a soccer official and also helping the community by taking part in Habitat for Humanity.

The data was related to the soccer games played between August to December and the the data was extracted using the hashtag of a particular match and along with the keywords associated with a particular team. The extracted was cleansed to remove the URL and stop words were removed.
Wrote a scoring algorithm for evaluating the sentiment score which gave a high rating to the words with less frequency/occurence. The output was depicted in the form of the various graphs to analyze the emotional variation. From June 2013 to December 2013 (7 months) Chennai Area, India
