I am a consultant ophthalmic surgeon with 18 year experience in ophthalmology and the only consultant ophthalmologist in the UK with dual fellowship training in children (paediatric) cornea, ocular surface, and cataract. I work for the NHS at the world famous Corneo Plastic Unit and Eye Bank at Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead, as well as my private practice in London and Sussex.
Previously, I have looked after children with corneal diseases and performed many conreal transplantations (grafts) in newborns and small babies. I treat adults as well as small children with complex ocular surface and corneal problems. Our patients are referred from various eye centres and hospitals around the country. Dealing with the most challenging eye conditions is part of my day to day work.
On top of my busy clinical practice, I keep investing my time in new innovations in ophthalmology, in particular cornea in adults and children. I am a reviewer to many reputable journals in ophthalmology. I have numerous publications in peer reviewed journals and wrote many book chapters in ophthalmology. I am a regular lecturer at international conferences and teach new techniques in corneal transplant surgery to international colleagues.
I am the founder of London Children's Eye Clinic:A group of highly experienced ophthalmologists in various aspects of children's eye care.
People praise me for my professionalism, experience, knowledge, and kindness. In my spare time, I enjoy doing charity work in the UK and abroad.

I did corneal transplantation to newborns as young as few days of life, congenital cataract survey, congenital glaucoma, dry eyes, blepharitis, and various other paediatric (children) eye diseases. My patients and colleagues from Great Ormond Street Hospital describe me as professional, expert in managing congenital and developmental cornea and anterior segment diseases, polite, and an exceptional team leader. In fact many parents have opted to move their children care to the cornea Unit at Queen Victoria Hospital to remain under my care. Up to date three of these children had corneal grafts and they are doing extremely well. Many others had various other surgeries or just happy with conservative treatment. Thank to my patients and the parents who give me the inspiration to work harder and give more of my time and efforts contributing to eye care in children. My ultimate happiness and satisfaction is seeing the smile on the faces of the little ones who are able to see, restore normal development, and enjoy a normal life.
